San
Diego Chargers Celebrate Their First Win
Article written by C. Combs
With no sacks and no loses both lines should be congratulated
on their victory over Eli Manning and the New York Giants at
Qualcomm Stadium. The San Diego Chargers accomplished a rare
statistical double in Sunday’s 45-23 win over the second
ranked rushing defense in the NFL.
LaDainian Tomlinson carried 21 times for 192 yards and three
touchdowns, including a 62-yard run around the right side in
the fourth quarter. The Chargers ended with 268 yards rushing,
averaging 8.1 yards on 33 carries, and passed for another 217
yards.
Next
Sunday, the San Diego Chargers will go up against the 2004 World
Champions, the New England Patriots, on October 2, 2005 at 10:00
a.m. at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
