Fall Apple Harvest

Enjoy the Autumn leaves, art shows, entertainment and seasonal
foods, such as apple cider and pie, in the scenic mining town
of Julian. Even though mining for gold was short lived, Julian's
temperate climate and mild four seasons, made it perfect for
a new crop... apples. This cozy little mountain town is a prime
getaway destination for this year's Fall season.
About an hour's drive northeast of downtown San Diego is where
you'll find this quaint little town filled with country charm.
As you drive through, look for fresh-picked apples and pears
at the orchards and fruit stands from September through Thanksgiving.
Many of them sell bulk apples and pears, dried fruit, locally
made jams, jellies and honey, cider and nuts. For a list of

Special events are held during Julian's Harvest months on the
weekends. On September 17 & 18, the Julian Lions Club will
hold it's 34th Annual Bluegrass Festival from 9a.m. to 5p.m.
& 8a.m. to 10p.m. To find out what other events are coming
