Diego County Fair 2005: Cinema Summer... Lights, Camera, Action!

This year it will be a Cinema Summer at the 2005 San Diego County
Fair, with fun exhibits that celebrate the film and TV industry.
Opening Day is this Friday, June 10th and you can purchase your
tickets at any Ralphs Grocery store for $1!
The Fair has a little bit of something for everyone. Music lovers
should know that there is a band playing every night and on
Opening Day you can enjoy the first preliminary round of Battle
of the Bands, and end the evening with a concert. The Village
People and Taylor Dayne will open the concert series on the
Harrah's Rincon Resort & Casino San Diego Grandstand Stage.
There are many more great bands heading to the San Diego Fair
this summer.
Thrill seekers and kids love the county fair rides. Pepsi Pay-One-Price
Ride Days are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am to 8pm. On
these days, you can buy a wristband for $25 that allows you
unlimited rides. With a Pepsi coupon from Ralphs grocery stores,
you can save another $5 off this price. Parents might also want
to know that kids under 12 years old are admitted FREE every
Tuesday. Kids Days also feature entertainment and contests that
are loads of fun.
A County Fair wouldn't be a fair with out the exhibits and contests.
Some of the exhibits featured this summer include the Art Show,
Photo Exhibition, Paul Ecke Jr. Flower & Garden Show, Gems
& Minerals Show, Home & Hobby Show, Kids' Best, Student
Showcase, and various Animal Shows.
As usual, the San Diego County Fair runs almost a month and
is closed every Monday, except the last day, July 4th. If you
haven't been, it's time to go, and for those of you who have
