The Scream Zone - October 1 thru October 31
The Scream Zone features a 25 room 3-D haunted attraction inhabited
by creepy creatures, rides and screamin' good times. Located
at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Sunday-Thursday: 7-11pm and Friday

2) Octoberfest in El Cajon - October 1-2 & 8-9
Traditional family-oriented German festival on two weekends
in October from noon to midnight. Beer garden, games, dancing
and food. This event takes place at the German American Club
parking lot and clubhouse, 1017 S. Mollison in El Cajon. For

Admission to the San Diego Zoo - October 1 - October 31
Children, ages eleven and younger, will be admitted FREE to
the San Diego Zoo during the whole month of October. On October
3rd, everyone is admitted FREE in honor of the founding of the

Pumpkin Patch at Bates Nut Farm - October 1 thru October 31
The premier site for pumpkins in San Diego, visitors will enjoy
selecting their pumpkin for Halloween. Open daily from 9am-5pm,
the farm offers a straw maze, tractor hay rides, and picnicking.

Haunted Hotel, Frightmare & Trail of Terror- October 1 thru
October 31
This 2005 Halloween season will bring your worst nightmares
to life. The Haunted Hotel is located downtown
at 424 Market St. This year's Haunted Hotel is ruled by horror
movies that will make you scream. Frightmare on Market
Street, located at 530 Market St., opens for its 11th
bone chilling year of haunting the Gaslamp Quarter. The
Haunted Trail of Balboa Park is San Diego's only all
outdoor haunted attraction. The Haunted Trail is a stroll through

Monster Manor (Mira Mesa) as it once again
arises on the spot where it was burned down by an angry mob.
A very interactive haunt, this 4,000 square foot Halloween haunted
house is a drug-free, alcohol free, intergenerational, entertainment
experience for San Diego. It is designed and operated entirely

Traditional German celebration featuring dancing, food, Bavarian
