Comic-Con
International San Diego 2005
July 14 thru July 17 2005
Article written by C.

Comic-Con is the largest comics and pop culture event in North
America, and San Diego is proud to be the host. Each year Comic-Con
International is the source for breaking news in the world of
comics and popular culture, and this year's 2005 convention
promises even more surprises, with the largest programming schedule
yet.
Even though you might think that Comic Con is for the comic
book geeks, this 36th annual event includes something for everyone.
This International exhibit features comic books, original art,
toys, games, trading cards, clothing, movie memorabilia and
more. Comic Con has come to embrace not only comics but cartoons,
anime, science fiction and fantasy, independent film, gaming,
television, and, of course, motion pictures.
Some of this year's special guests include Ray Harryhausen,
Forrest J. Ackerman, Ray Bradbury, Juanjo Guarnido, Jim
Lee, and many others. Celebrities are also known to show up
at the scene... usually on Saturdays but this isn't conclusive.
There has been word that actresses Kate Beckinsale, Natalie
Portman, Charlize Theron and the actor known as "The Rock"
will make an appearance, as well as several cast members from
Lost. To view this year's program, click
